The Pollution Control Board proposed amendments to regulations governing groundwater quality. The amendments would, among other things, introduce standards for ten new chemicals detected in Illinois groundwater, including various per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, adopt the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s revisions to existing Class I and II standards, amend procedures for developing groundwater standards, and revise groundwater management zone procedures.
