The Air Resources Board proposed amendments to the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation and the Zero Emission Powertrain Certification test procedure. The amendments would, among other things, clarify compliance determination and sales reporting requirements, increase the deficit makeup period, align language with the 100% zero emission vehicle (ZEV) sales requirements for 2036 and subsequent model years, modify manufacturer definitions, establish that certifications meeting specific requirements satisfy the zero emission powertrain certification requirements, align language about preventing double counting of ZEV credits under both the Advanced Clear Cars II regulations and ACT, and adjust reporting requirements with corresponding definitions.
