The Environmental Quality Council proposed amendments to land quality rules concerning coal mining exploration. The amendments would establish requirements for voluntary assigned trusts for reclamation bonds and add a reference to “fish” alongside “wildlife” for the requirements concerning general drill hole abandonments. A hearing will be held February 22, 2023.
