NMFS proposed to establish mandatory time-area closures of Hawaiian spinner dolphins' essential daytime habitats at five selected sites in the main Hawaiian islands under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. 

FWS proposed to remove the Braken Bat Cave meshweaver from the federal list of endangered and threatened wildlife based on the determination that it is not a discrete taxonomic entity and does not meet the definition of a species under the ESA.

EPA approved revisions to Massachusetts’ CAA §111(d)/129 plan for large municipal waste combustors.

EPA adjusted the level of the maximum and minimum statutory civil monetary penalty amounts under the statutes that the Agency administers to reflect inflation.

FWS reclassified the June sucker from endangered to threatened under the ESA and finalized a rule under §4(d) of the Act that provides for the conservation of the species. 

EPA proposed the results of its residual risk and technology review of NESHAPs for primary magnesium refining, finding that risks from emissions of air toxics from this source category are acceptable and that after removing the exemptions from startup, shutdown, and malfunction, the standards provide an ample margin of safety.
