The Department of Environmental Protection adopted the new regulation N.J. Admin. Code §7:27-9.2, pertaining to sulfur in fuels. The regulation, which applies to all liquid fuel oil, is intended to reduce the amount of sulfur oxides, particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and other pollutants released into the ambient air from the combustion of fuel oil.
