The Pinelands Commission has proposed amendment to N.J. Admin. Code §§7:50-2.11, 6.84, 10.21, 10.22 and 10.23, which relate to the Pilot Program for Alternate Design Wastewater Treatment Systems. Among other changes stemming from an eight-year efficacy study of the program, the Commission intends to reduce nitrogen in wastewater, require manufacturers of new systems to submit to EPA verification and certification, and extend the period of the pilot program. There will be a public hearing on July 15, 2010, and the public comment period ends August 6.
