FERC proposed reforms to the Uniform System of Accounts for public utilities and licensees that include new accounts for wind, solar, and other non-hydro renewable assets; creating a new functional class for energy storage accounts; codifying the accounting treatment of renewable energy credits; and creating new accounts within existing functions for hardware, software, and communication equipment.

DOE seeks comment on its Clean Hydrogen Production Standard Draft Guidance, which establishes a target for the life-cycle emissions intensity of hydrogen production, as required by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

DOE seeks comment regarding the implementation of grants for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy improvements at public school facilities under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. 

FERC issued an updated policy statement that describes how the Commission will evaluate all factors bearing on the public interest in determining whether a new interstate natural gas transportation project is required by the public convenience and necessity under the Natural Gas Act.

DOE announced its Building a Better Grid Initiative focused on catalyzing nationwide development of new and upgraded high-capacity transmission lines.
