FWS proposed regulations that would codify the process by which the Service establishes drain tile setbacks in wetland easement contracts pursuant to the National Wildlife Refuge Administration Act.

FWS determined threatened species status for the Big Creek crayfish and the St. Francis River crayfish under the ESA, designated approximately 1,069 river miles in Missouri as critical habitat for the Big Creek crayfish and 1,043 river miles in Missouri as critical habitat for the St. Francis River crayfish, and finalized a rule under §4(d) of the Act that provides measures that are necessary and advisable to provide for the conservation of both species.

FWS determined threatened species status for the Wright’s marsh thistle under the ESA, designated approximately 156.8 acres in New Mexico as critical habitat, and finalized a rule under §4(d) of the Act to provide for conservation of the species.

FWS withdrew the amendment for the Hawaiian hoary bat from a direct final rule revising the taxonomy of 62 wildlife and plant species under the ESA after receiving comments relating to scientific research relevant to the bat's taxonomic classification.

FWS proposed to designate approximately 683,405 acres in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia as critical habitat for the rufa red knot under the ESA.

FWS proposed to remove the Colorado hookless cactus from the Federal List of Endangered and Threatened Plants under the ESA due to recovery.

FWS determined threated species status for the bracted twistflower under the ESA, designated approximately 1,596 acres in Texas as critical habitat, and finalized a rule under §4(d) of the Act to provide for conservation of the species.

NMFS completed a comprehensive status review for the Atlantic humpback dolphin, determining it has a high risk of extinction throughout its range, and proposed to list the Atlantic humpback dolphin as an endangered species under the ESA.
