EPA announced that Connecticut is revising its public water system supervision program to meet SDWA requirements. 

EPA announced health advisories for four perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including interim updated lifetime drinking water health advisories for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), and final health advisories for hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) dimer acid and its ammonium salt (together referred to as “GenX chemicals”) and perfluorobutane sulfonic acid and its related compound potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate (together referred to as “PFBS”) under the SDWA. 

United States v. New York, City of, No. CV-19-1519 (E.D.N.Y. Apr. 13, 2022).  A proposed amended consent decree under the SDWA revises the schedule for construction of a new hydraulic interconnection in Yonkers, New York, to simplify construction of all of the projects required under the decree. 

EPA approved revisions that effectuate the Federal Consumer Confidence Report Rule in Nevada's state primacy program under the SDWA. 

EPA approved New Mexico's revisions to its underground injection control program for Class I injection wells under the SDWA. 

EPA approved the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands' primacy program under the SDWA. 

EPA finalized a rule that requires certain public water systems to collect national occurrence data for 29 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and lithium under the SDWA.

EPA completed its review of the National Primary Drinking Water Standards: Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) and published a document that describes stakeholder comments; the Agency decided to proceed with a proposed rule that would revise certain key regulatory sections of the LCRR while allowing the rule to take effect.

EPA approved California's revised primacy program under the SDWA. 

EPA announced a proposed consent decree to address allegations that the Administrator failed to issue revisions to the Agency’s consumer confidence report regulations by a certain date as required under the SDWA; the decree establishes a deadline for issuing the revisions.
