FWS proposed to list the Chupadera springsnail as endangered under the ESA and to designate approximately 1.9 acres in Socorro County, New Mexico, as critical habitat for the species.

FWS announced a 90-day finding on a petition to list the American eel as threatened under the ESA; the agency found that listing may be warranted and initiated a status review. 

FWS designated approximately 47,383 acres in Sonoma County, California, as critical habitat for the distinct population segment of the California tiger salamander under the ESA. 

FWS removed the Lake Erie watersnake from the list of endangered and threatened wildlife under the ESA due to its recovery.

FWS, in response to a court order, reinstated its listing of the Preble's meadow jumping mouse in Wyoming. 

FWS removed the Tennessee purple coneflower from the list of endangered and threatened plants under the ESA due to its recovery. 

FWS announced a partial 90-day finding on a petition to list 404 species in the southeastern United States as endangered or threatened under the ESA; the agency found that listing 374 of the species may be warranted and initiated a status review.
