Settling CERCLA defendants responsible for violations at the Franklin Smelting and Slag Superfund sites in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, must pay $2,783,750 to the United States and $491,250 to Pennsylvania in past response costs incurred at the sites, must assign their rights to any future recovery on insurance policies related to business operations at the sites, and must contribute the net proceeds from the sale of two properties by one of the settling defendants.
