The Department of the Commissioners of the Land Office proposed amendments to regulations governing the sale and operation of hard-rock mining and other mineral leases. The amendments would revise and modernize regulations pertaining to the leasing of public lands managed by the Commissioners of the Land Office, for the purpose of hard-rock mining and the extraction of minerals other than oil and natural gas. A hearing will be held December 19, 2023.
