would provide for a study by the Ocean Studies Board of the National Academies of Science to examine the impact of ocean acidification and other stressors in estuarine environments.
would amend the Federal Ocean Acidification Research and Monitoring Act of 2009 to establish an Ocean Acidification Advisory Board, to expand and improve the research on ocean acidification and coastal acidification, and to establish and maintain a data archive system for ocean acidification data and coastal acidification data.
would direct the Administrator of NOAA to make grants to state and local governments and nonprofit organizations for purposes of carrying out shoreline stabilization projects utilizing natural materials that support natural habitats and ecosystem functions.
would recognize World Oceans Day and the necessity to protect, conserve, maintain, and rebuild the ocean and its resources.
