A settling CERCLA defendant must reimburse past and future response costs and natural resource damages in connection with the Old American Zinc Plant Superfund site in Fairmont City and Washington Park, Illinois, to be satisfied through a $2 million monetary payment, sale of the portion of the site currently owned by the defendant, and attempted recovery of insurance proceeds.
