United States v. Walnutdale Family Farms, LLC

Settling CWA defendants that discharged manure and process wastewater, inadequately operated and maintained waste storage devices, and failed to apply manure in accordance with NPDES permits at their concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO) in Wayland, Michigan, must assess and correct any problems with their waste storage structures, impose heightened standards for land application of CAFO waste, enhance reporting requirements, pay a $33,750 civil penalty to the United States, and pay $11,250 to the Sierra Club to reimburse a portion of its attorneys' fees.
