An administrative law judge (ALJ) refused the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) request for a stay of proceedings in a case involving an automobile company's violations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. EPA and the company were granted a previous stay of proceedings so that EPA could determine whether one of the alleged violations actually occurred.
