PALAU BANS SUNSCREEN TO PROTECT CORAL REEFS

Palau has signed a law restricting the sale and use of sunscreen and skincare products containing ingredients that are highly toxic to marine life. The ban covers products containing ten different chemicals, including oxybenxzone, which causes corals to bleach at lower temperatures and reduces their resilience to climate change.
